the free american mutants who have managed to escape the clutches of the scientists live and work here each day, though they always live in fear of being found...

scientists in america looking to test on some mutants bring their captives here chiefly, as it is the largest lab in the USA. scientists also often live here in their own personal apartments. beware.

all of the upper class human citizens who support the scientists in their testing and wish to use the mutant powers for themselves make their homes here near the labs.

middle and lower class patrons of the experimentation process are meant to stay here, and even though they have less money to contribute, they still want a piece of the action...

any other human citizens who are against the experiments are sent to live here, where they are kept from interrupting the process, or they choose to leave or try and fit in with the patrons in an effort to help... Most eventually choose to run from the horrors that the scientists are creating.

any mutants who have escaped the clutches of the scientists elsewhere in the world or who have fled america travel about abroad as nomads, running from place to place in search of security.

there are labs around the world in cities like sydney, london, and tokyo where experiments are handled when there is no more space in new york.

all quarantined individuals outside of the US make their homes in large cities throughout the world.

these are humans outside of the US who have chosen to go against the man and try and help the mutants get their freedom, though they do so in different ways. some infiltrate the quarantined areas and try to fit in there in hopes of helping, and others help mutants by keeping them hidden in their homes.
