miss KANE is the chemist who originally created the virus that began the plague of mutation working in the labs at stanton industries. she, of course, was fired by mr. STANTON after that so that he could claim the mystery drug as his own, though she kept one vial to herself, hidden away, and later injected herself with the drug to become one of the mutants herself. this made her into an air elemental, and one of the most powerful in the world at that. she became obsessed at that point with teaching the mutants to defend themselves and showing them that they were too strong to allow themselves to be pushed off into hiding when if they were to stand and fight as a collective, they could easily overpower the facilities. Of course, ms. KANE recently went missing and left her growing army to learn to stick up for themselves, afraid and feeling all alone. growing up on the streets in seattle seems like a harsh life to those looking from the outside in, but to those who truly live it, its ten times worse. just ask miss MASON here about it some time... but make sure that she's not in a bad mood, or you might just get your face seared off... ironically enough, her parents were both killed in a fire when she was very young, and MASON was forced to learn to live on her own in the world, begging and searching for food and money every chance that she got. and when the virus was released and she started to change, things in her life got even worse... not only was she without a home, but now she was a complete freak and had people hunting her! to say the least, this fiery little fifteen year old isn't a fan of her newfound abilities, but she's learned to cope with it, being that she can now take her anger out on people with her powers... and her severe crush on her best friend MILLS really doesn't do anything to make her hate life more, either...thank god.

brilliant and calm, HUNT is the common coolant in his group of friends, both literally and figuratively. this introverted little water user, seventeen years old, finds himself the object of plenty of affections, though he's never been one to dabble much in romance before... he'd generally much rather sit around with his music and crack open a good book than head off on a hot date or get himself a girlfriend. does he find girls attractive? sure, of course he does...its not as if he isn't a teenage boy...but he's also not one for huge commitments, either... he spends much of his friend time around DANCY, GALEN, and JORDAN2, however, and often ponders on whether he likes GALEN as more than a friend or not, though he is still unsure of that. as stated above, he's not usually one for dating and the like... HUNT and DANCY, though, have known one another practically since birth and have been best friends their whole lives, meaning that DANCY is practically the only person that HUNT confides in ever now that he has been separated from his parents...

DANES simply isn't one to give too much to a conversation half of the time, to be entirely honest... she often just listens to another person speak, analyzing their every word and movement and hardly contributes a word. and while this makes her an excellany confidant, it also annoys a lot of people when they feel the need to talk to someone responsive for a change who is a lot like and them and DANES happens to be the person that they find. the only person that she's ever been known to really open up to and talk to about things is her best friend GALEN, who tells her everything in return. DANES can often be seen curled up in a corner somewhere reading a book--often a fantasy novel or some book on plant life.

sometimes, marek is seen as an extremely detached person, not often fitting into the mold along with the rest of his friends and allies, but he really does care deep down inside. he has recently discovered that GALEN is actually his daughter and that her mother has turned against the mutants and joined the facilities, and while he still hasn't told GALEN just yet, he has been spending a lot of time around her and is always polite when she comes to him with questions, even if he is still rather aloof. his two greatest friends are BELANOV and WHITE, and he has been asking BELANOV a lot lately to keep an eye on GALEN for him, which BELANOV has happily done, taking on a protective stance for MAREK's daughter. and while he doesn't always show it amazingly well, he does appreciate his friend's efforts along with the respect toward GALEN that others like GRIFFIN1 and BISHOP jabe come to show.

sweet little GRIFFIN1 from ohio has wanted to be a doctor since she was twelve years old, but she really doesn't see that as much of a possibility at this point in time, obviously... but being a med at least gives the twenty-four year old a chance to help people as often as is possible, though she's often afraid that she'll have to hurt someone with her powers, too, being that she's afraid of wars and doesn't want to be involved in some huge contraversy such as this one. her younger brother GRIFFIN2, while they don't always get along like any other pair of siblings, is one of the people that she cares for the most in the world. the other person that she loves most in the world is her boyfriend, BISHOP. the two of them spend every waking moment together. she also has a slight motherly feel for GALEN, because the younger girl always comes to her with questions when she needs help controlling her powers, and she's come to love the girl very much.

BELANOV has often been perceived as a devious man, loving to everyone around him and yet still so distant and mysterious. he has never had a true relationship, though he has been in many relationships in general before, searching through massive groups of women for the one that will immediately be proven as the girl for him. he sometimes thinks that he is far away from that discovery; but then he looks on the brighter side of things and knows that he'll find someone some time... and in the meantime, it can't hurt much to try the dating scene for a bit, now can it? BELANOV is often shown to be a paranoid person, worried that someone will come along and sweep him and all of his accomplishments under the proverbial rug. this twenty-two year old has a long way to go before he'll let himself be outdone, though. his best friends are BIANCHI and MAREK, and he confides everything in BIANCHI, though he doesn't harbor any romantic feelings for her at all. for MAREK, he tends to look after his daughter GALEN a lot of the time when she comes to ask him questions and he has taken a very protective position in her life.

MILLS was only thirteen years old when the break out happened. he was an orphan, sadly, and so he had nowhere to go and no one to help him run. knowing that the government was looking for mutants MILLS ran. he met up the KANE and some of the mutants she gathered and joined her and her group. it's been three years since then and during those years MILLS has become very close friends with GRIFFIN2 and one of the youngest in their group MASON. MILLS usually joins GRIFFIN2 and his friends GREEN and JORDAN1 in causing some mischief, though he doesn't really enjoy playing jokes on MASON as much as they do. he understands her black mood since she basically had the same life as he did. it secrect MILLS sort of treats her like a younger sister and tries to give her warning on when GRIFFIN2 and his buddies are about to play their next big prank....

ah. GRIFFIN2 is the younger brother of GRIFFIN1. GRIFFIN2 is seveteen and, ever since the outbreak, has been on the run with KANE and her convoy of muntants. since joining GRIFFIN2 first became friends with MILLS, a copycat, GREEN and JORDAN1. though GRIFFIN2 was always very quiet and meek growing up, he has come out of his shell a little more thanks to GREEN's mischevious ways. the only reason for joining in on the fun with GREEN is because of his secrect love for GREEN's best friend JORDAN1. ever since becoming part of the group GRIFFIN2 has been trying desperately to get her to really notice him, which is why he's been trying so badly to become more open. but is she ever really going to see him as more than just another prankster....

mr. DANCY has a record of his own since his transformation of almost-overdoses thanks to the thoughts swimming around in his head. its never easy to have the thoughts of others sinking into your brain constantly...but to be eighteen years old and have it happening to you on top of all of that teen angst? its almost unbearable at times. DANCY spends almost all of his time, if not all of it, hanging around with his best friend since childhood, HUNT, or hiding out somewhere where no one can sneak up on him unnoticed and have their thoughts spring violently into his head. he is afraid that one day he's going to lose his mind from all of the extra voices his head plays host to, but he has good friends like HUNT, GALEN, and the JORDAN siblings to help him through all of that. his mother figure has recently been found in ms. HARVEY, thanks to the fact that she understands the pain he is going through and it there to explain and help him when he needs it most...

ah, miss GALEN, the screech of the pack. whilst her power indicates that she is rather loud most of the time and knows how to have fun in life, she is also a hopeless romantic. she loves playing music and singing, and writes a lot of her own songs a lot of the time, though she never actually plays them for anyone but herself and a few select close friends such as DANCY, JORDAN1, DANES, and HUNT. ah, mr. HUNT, what a topic that one is...GALEN's been in love with him since about a month after she met him when she went into hiding along with the rest of the mutants. the seventeen year old spend much of her time hanging out with her friends or studying and working with her power. she looks up to GRIFFIN1, BELANOV, MAREK, and WHITE a lot for how strong they all are and how in control of their powers they all seem to be. but little does she know, MAREK is her biological father, and she will find this out soon enough now that her mother has joined the facilities against the mutants--her ex-lover and daughter included. she goes to GRIFFIN1 and BELANOV most often with any questions that she might have, though...

miss HARVEY is a very complicated character. being one of the few types of mutant who can actually feel what another mutant or person feels, HARVEY has a wide range of personalities depending on what the people around her feel. this twenty-four year old woman was only twenty-one when the virus began its spread throughout the world, and so when she began to actually feel what everyone around her was feeling, her personality began to follow all these different feelings that were flying around her. tired of being in the city, and afraid of the government, HARVEY changed her appearance slightly and then joined a woman named ANNA KANE. since joining KANE's convoy HARVEY has beome quite close with one of the more, 'snotty', of the group. NAGGAR is the only person in HARVEY's group of friends that really has a true personality close to her own. flirty and free. HARVEY has even enjoyed a night or two with mr. NAGGAR though she has no intention of making it a permanent thing. the only other boy HARVEY is truly close to is a young boy by the name of DANCY, but not in a romantic sort of way. because his power is close to her own she knows how he feels, literally, when he becomes overwhelmed, and so she's become a sort of mother figure to him though she's only a few years older than he is.

this sixteen year old is your basic sweetheart. JORDAN1 is very open and appealing to those around her. being able to see the future doesn't exactly make it any worse for her. in fact, it's thanks to this mutation in her genes that she is able to get away with so many things. JORDAN1 is actually best friends with GREEN the worst prankster in the whole convoy. JORDAN1 is close friends with GREEN and GRIFFIN2, and the three of them like to go around and pull some pranks on the more serious in their little community. what GREEN and GRIFFIN2 don't know, is that ever since recieving her mutant abilities, JORDAN1 has had trouble sleeping at night due to very horrible, and vivid nightmares. JORDAN1 doesn't know whether to put it down as just fear leaking into her subconscience or some sort of warning. all she knows is that something bad, no matter what, is bound to happen in the near future. what's really sad is that, for some strange reason, all JORDAN1 is really worried about is GRIFFIN2....

GREEN is the mover of this particular underground vigilante group, and vigilance is her middle name. or at least, that's what she would tell you if you were to talk to her about her powers. she is almost constantly training around the camp with her moving abilities, tossing around a ball without any aid or even touching the object personally or moving chairs about so that people have somewhere to sit when they need to. but don't let that hard-working side of GREEN fool you, everyone...she's also a mischevious little devil, always pulling pranks on other mutants in the camp with the aid of some of her friends, GRIFFIN2 and JORDAN1. she's a prankster through and through, always attempting to get the better of someone or other. her favorite targets, though, are the more serious residents of her camp like MASON and DANES because they are so composed and black-faced all the time about everything...

mr. illusion himself. WHITE here has the unique ability to actually make people see whatever he wants them to see. he can make it something wonderful, or something terrible. WHITE is, however, a very nice gentlemen though most see him as a bit weird thanks to his...odd, behavior. WHITE has never followed the trends of society, and though the world has basically gone to hell within three years that has been one of the few things that hasn't changed about him. at the age of twenty-five, WHITE is best friends with MAREK and an aquaintance with BELANOV. the thing the both of them have in common is that they're close friends with MAREK and that MAREK has asked them both to watch over his daughter GALEN, though until recently, MAREK never knew he had a daughter. WHITE is also a little pre-occupied with a problem of his own. he has been in love with BIANCHI ever since he joined KANE and her convoy. too bad BIANCHI will never feel the same way....

GIORDANO is one of the more quiet people within KANE's convoy. being a tailer she has no real ability to protect herself. because of this GIORDANO is always within the training grounds, toning up and keeping up her skills in hand-to-hand. GIORDANO wishes she was more open with people, and this twenty-two year old even has a secret crush...on HARVEY. that's right. miss GIORDANO is a beautiful, young, homosexual. well, bi-sexual. GIORDANO has also been in love with the illusionist WHITE. ever since things went to hell, however, GIORDANO's life has been going down the drains without any let up...

mr. BISHOP is slightly sardonic in his own way, though he has never been a particularly mean personage and is certainly not rude, especially after so many years of having his parents hammer manners into his head... BISHOP is mainly a writer by trade, and enjoys writing poetry and short stories in his free time when he's not busy making plans along with the other mutants... a true romantic at heart, this strapping young gentleman will be the first to pull a ladies chair from beneath a table for her or buy a red rose. many girls have tried before to win his heart in vain, and everyone knows exactly why that is: GRIFFIN1. the two of them have known one another and been best friend since they were both in high school and he has been madly in love with her since their ninth grade year, as odd as that might seem. it used to kill him each time that she would go on a date with another boy and then tell him about it, and he therefore one day decided that he was tired of it and asked her out himself. and she accepted! they've been together for almost five years now and he plans very soon to ask her to marry him. he couldn't see himself marrying anyone else, though he worries about the effect that NAGGAR seems to be trying to have on her all the time, seeing as BISHOP and NAGGAR are sworn enemies...

NAGGAR is chiefly a cinic, in all honesty. he spends much of his time attempting to make BISHOP's life as miserable as he possible can and strives off of the pain that he is capable of causing BISHOP whenever he can get under his skin. he uses GRIFFIN1 to his advantage in this scheme a lot, actually, always flirting with her in an attempt to at least make it seem like she is slightly interested in him so that BISHOP's heart will break and NAGGAR will have gotten in another day's worth of satisfaction in his work. he is attracted, however, to miss HARVEY and admires her for always dealing in the emotions of others. plus he loves how flirtatious she can be at times, because it compliments his playful manner almost perfectly. but he doesn't really see himself falling in love any time soon. he's far too free for that...

fraternal twin of JORDAN1, JORDAN2 is not in the same category of mutation as his older twin sister. JORDAN2 is one of the few mutants that have ever been able to escape captivity. that's right. JORDAN2 was captured only a couple of days after his mutation became known. it was very easy for the government to find him and his sister, but, thanks to his sister's ability, she was able to escape. JORDAN2 was warned, but he refused to go with JORDAN1 because he believed that what they were doing at the lab wasn't as horrible as everyone said it was. he was wrong. JORDAN2 rarely ever speaks of what happened while in new york, and not even his friend HUNT can get him to talk about it. it was thanks to his mutation that he was even able to escape, and thanks to his sister's that he was able to find safety with KANE and her convoy. JORDAN1 is the only person who knows what happened to her brother inside of the lab, though he doesn't know it, and she refuses to mention it to anyone. not even to GREEN.

miss BIANCHI, though she'll never tell anyone other than BELANOV this, has been married once before thanks to a trip to las vegas gone all wrong, though she is now far past those rebellious days, or at least she is thanks to her new mutant status. otherwise, she would more than likely be involved in all sorts of mischief... back in school, she was one of the smartest people around, though that didn't help her confidence too terribly much and because of that she went from sweet genius girl to smart partier. BIANCHI never backs down on a dare and she never fails to see the good in people. she is massively in love with her best friend BELANOV, though he doesn't return her feelings to her personal dismay and heartbreak. she envies the women around her for their spirited natures and free spirits, as she wishes that she could break free as some of them have done... but, of course, being one of the most attractive women around does have its perks now and then when she gets too lonely or upset over BELANOV, at which point she calls on WHITE, who has loved her practically since they met. but she is determined to stay a spinster forever without BELANOV, no matter what.

when mr. STANTON was thirty years old, he started up a company for international communications and titled it 'stanton industries,' profoundly enough. he had scientists and chemists alike working for him 24/7, creating all sorts of new medicines and tonics for whatever came up at the time as something that was 'needed' by the general public of new york... and one day, when a young chemist--his most promising, to be precise--named ANNA KANE created a formula that she called a failure, he took it from her and decided to test is anyway, feeling faithful that she had not let him down. he injected a man with it, only to find that it made a mutant of the once human man. and what was his perfect problem solver, you might ask? the mutant was killed, and miss KANE was fired from her job. little did he know that after the world went to hell, KANE injected herself with a small bit of the serum and became a mutant herself, starting up her own army of mutants and training them to fight back. his plan now is to take out all of the mutants after testing them in the world and use their powers for his own personal gain...

top of her class at oxford, miss FARLEN also just so happened to graduate from college when she was twenty years old, showing her as the super-genius that she really is. and now she lives to hunt down mutants who could very well have been created from her parents, cousins, aunts and uncles, high school and college friends? that would be one messed up developmental stage if it were completely true, now wouldn't it? miss FARLEN actually happens to be a vigilante warrior who works closeby her best friend and brother-figure CARMICHAEL and she spends much of her time working on ideas for how to get herself the hell out of stanton industries, though now that she's in, its a little more than hard to get out in the way that she's wanting...alive, that is... and so she stays and performs and oversees crude, impersonal, torturous tests on mutants each and every day, miserable, and hopes to break free from stanton industries in the very near future, possibly even in favor of travelling with ANNA KANE and her convoy.

little miss perfect isn't the sunshine girl that everyone thinks she is. in fact, no one but CARMICHAEL knows that LAURENT is a total whore. whilst CARMICHAEL and naomi were together and completely in love, LAURENT fought to break them apart so that she could be with CARMICHAEL, being that she is a posessive person after a long life of being spoiled and getting all that she wants when she wants it. she now has very nearly fallen for STANTON and has begun, whenever she sees him--which is a rare occurence, of course--to flirt with CARMICHAEL endlessly in the hopes of getting information from him, though she also secretly enjoys the whole affair, being that she's always been attracted to him anyway. and boy, oh boy will she be jealous when she finds out about CARMICHAEL's--and even STANTON's eventually--new little mutant love interest...

ah, miss GALEN, well isn't she just the little traitor of the day? over nineteen years ago, she met MAREK, and the two of them were lovers for a little over a year before MAREK had to leave, not knowing that he was leaving his ex-lover behind pregnant with his child. she gave birth to her daughter, GALEN1, and loved the little girl unconditionally for years, even if she did look so much like her father... but three years ago, when the virus erupted, GALEN1 grew ill and mutated as well into another of the creatures that were so hated amongst the populace. GALEN2 shunned her young daughter then, not caring what might happen to her on her own in the world, and GALEN2 is now a member of stanton industries' middle class patrons, always funding their needs to hunt down mutants like her ex-lover and her child.

JENKINS has been a diabetes patient since thirty years ago now, constantly battling against his illness and attempting to keep himself healthy and alive. though he does not trust the goingson up at stanton industries one bit and find them all rather selfish, though, he also has a selfish part of him that desperately longs to be part of the proceedings and to be given something by those chemists and scientists to heal him. at times he even wishes that he had become a mutant as well; perhaps that would have saved him...but now this poor man has been pulled into the darkness of the lab up in new york and he can't simply break free without having a riot on his hands for 'betraying' the other humans have done in recent days. and he knows, just knows, that if he gives up on being a patron for the richer men of the world, he will lose any chance of getting better somehow. little does he know, though, that the mutants could benefit his health if only given the chance...

CARMICHAEL was born into a world of tranquility out in the middle of nowhere minnesota. he grew up blissfully unaware of the world's waging of wars on itself, for the most part, and had a loving family and a group of friends that he adored. he even had a high school sweetheart that he loved with everything inside of him: naomi. but when the big war broke out three years ago, she had changed along with the other mutant: she was a fire elemental. so the reps at stanton industries took her to new york and tested on her for months before killing her--and through those months, CARMICHAEL had tried to save her repeatedly and failed. this has planted hatred for his own kind in the twenty-seven year old's heart, and it was soon after naomi's death that he met ANNA KANE and a few of her fellow mutants, who he joined forces with. perhaps as a helping hand to the mutants, he will find love once more amongst their ranks through friendship, family, and even romance...especially when he lays eyes on VARENS.
