where the fight for good and evil is a constant battle, but it's interrupted casually by classes and sports. in northern new york state, hidden in the forestry is a castle which stood for two hundred years before the leon family took over the estate about a hundred years ago, the castle was turned into a boarding school for students with gifts. these gifts came from a mutation to human DNA, and all else went out the window. the school's name is Pembrook Academy For Gifted Students, a joke among the kids who attend, who call it the freak academy with much affection.
the classes they attend are much like any other class, though this is a school for those with a truly haunting secret, which has split them apart from their family, and caused them to forget what it was like to just be young. here, they are safe while the world finds out about the mutation crisis and how they can fix it.there are said to be groups working within the classes, some getting ready for the fight they think will happen. though everyone fears that one day the one place they can hide will be destroyed. for every student, the excuse is the same. this is a school for advantageous students, and the headmaster - Eric Humphrey Leon - likes to pretend it is so.
